The 6:00 PM Mass tonight, January 14, is cancelled due to heavy snow. There will be Mass at 9:00 AM tomorrow (Sunday, January 15). For those not wishing to brave the elements, the Sunday Mass will be livestreamed on the Mammoth Catholic Church Facebook Page.
Every Thursday during Lent, beginning March 3, at 5:00 PM we will have Adoration and Blessing with the Blessed Sacrament starting at 5:00 PM, followed by Mass at 6:00 PM in Saint Joseph Church. There will also be Adoration in Lee Vining at 7:30 PM.
The extreme weather the past week has rendered the Church heating system inoperable. With no heat, it is very cold inside St. Joseph Church. Please dress warmly when attending Mass. Note, Masses will continue according to the posted schedule. Repairs to the heating system will be made as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Mass celebrating the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be on Friday, December 31, in St. Joseph Church at 6:00 PM (bilingual), followed by Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament with Confessions available starting at 6:30 PM. On Saturday, January 1, there will be Mass at Noon at Our Savior of the Mountains Mission in Lee Vining, and a bilingual Mass in St. Joseph Church at 6:00 PM.
There will be one Mass at St. Joseph Church on November 21. It will be bilingual at 12:00 Noon, and Livestreamed on the Mammoth Catholic Church Facebook Page.
Due to Fr. Jorge's illness, the Masses scheduled for Sunday, November 8, at St. Joseph Church are cancelled. Daily Mass is also suspended until further notice. See the video messages below from Fr. Jorge, and please pray for him.
You can attend the Sunday Masses at St. Joseph Church which are celebrated outside in the church parking lot: English Mass at Noon and Spanish Mass at 6:00 PM. Both are Livestreamed on the Mammoth Catholic Church Facebook Page. Wear a face mask and bring a hat or other protection from the summer sun since there is minimal shade there. For those participating online, they may go to the Church to receive Holy Communion immediately following each Mass for about 30 minutes. There is no daily Mass, but St. Joseph Church remains open for private prayer from Noon to 8:00 PM daily.
Sunday Masses are being held at the St. Joseph Parish Hall in Mammoth Lakes. There are two Masses: 12:00 Noon in English, and 6:00 PM in Spanish. Both Masses are also Livestreamed on the Mammoth Catholic Church Facebook Page. Although open to the public, attendance is strictly limited on a first come - first seated basis. Seats will be assigned as you arrive. Face coverings are required throughout the Mass. Due to the reduced capacity, the faithful are strongly encouraged to participate through Livestream. There is also be an opportunity for the Livestream participants to receive Holy Communion in person at the entrance to St. Joseph Church for approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of Mass. April 5 - Palm Sunday Mass (Livestream) at Noon. Have some branches from your garden and be ready to have them blessed at the beginning of the Mass. . . . . April 9 - Holy Thursday Mass (Livestream) at 6:00 PM. Have some bread to be blessed during the Mass. After the Mass, if weather permits, Fr. Jorge will go on his open top Jeep through the streets of Mammoth Lakes with the Blessed Sacrament blessing the Town and the people. . . . . April 10 - Good Friday Services: Stations of the Cross (Livestream) at 1:00 PM; . . . The Seven Words (Livestream) at 2:00 PM; . . . The Passion of the Lord (Livestream) at 3:00 PM. This is the main liturgical celebration. Have a Crucifix to be blessed. . . . Procession of the Cross at 5:00 PM. Fr. Jorge and probably other Pastors of the various Christian denominations will walk with the Cross in silence through the streets of Mammoth Lakes. . . . . April 11 - Holy Saturday Easter Vigil (Livestream) at 8:00 PM. Have some water and a candle to be blessed during the Mass. . . . . April 12 - Easter Sunday Service at 10:00 AM - Tentatively an Ecumenical Service (Livestream) with the pastors of various Christian denominations. . . Easter Mass at noon (Livestream). Come to the weekday 6:00 PM Mass at St. Joseph Church where we will pray for the couples of our Parish and talk about the various subjects of the Marriage life: The Vocation to love; We are for each other, let’s invite God to Bless us; The Sacrament of Marriage; The Fidelity; Love in good times and in bad; Respect and Honor all the days of the life; The Children, Citizens of the Kingdom of God; Priests of the Domestic Church.

CLERGY DAY.- On Monday Oct. 28, all the Clergy of the Diocese of Stockton will attend a day of study in Riverbank, CA. Pray for all the Priests of the Diocese. Instead of Mass on Monday and Tuesday, a Celebration of the Word and Holy Communion will be celebrated in Saint Joseph Church at 6:00 PM
