St. Joseph Parish Business Administrator / Accountant Position
St. Joseph Parish in Mammoth Lakes, CA is seeking an accountant familiar with QuickBooks online in order to supervise bookkeeping and cash flow activity for the Parish. As part of this oversite, the accountant needs to become familiar with the financial policies of the Diocese of Stockton. The accountant needs to perform monthly analysis of the accounts, prepare journal entries for accruals and amortization, initiate cash transfers, and issue financial statements and other reports as requested by the Finance Council. The accountant also prepares the annual budget along with Finance Council members, supervises payroll and related taxes, and responds to property tax and other financial matters as needed. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the restricted donations to the Parish are spent only on the items designated by the donor. This job could be performed mostly offsite.
Qualifications: Formal training in accounting and at least five years of experience in an accounting position using QuickBooks or a similar program and Microsoft Office.
