My dear people of God.

We know and are very much aware of that joyous celebration of Easter Sunday at the Vatican with the Holy Father, Pope Francis, although we are also so fully aware of that fragile health of our beloved Shepherd.

The passing away of our dearly beloved “Servo Servorum Dei” Pope Francis on an Easter Monday brings each one of us and the whole Christendom to an unbelievable reality of such great loss- and even for non-Catholics … “I’m a kind of an agnostic but I really miss “the Guy” already. “

Nobody knows when and how we may go from this world towards our heavenly abode, but what a beautiful remembrance it is, for Pope Francis and us as well, to have such a peaceful and intimate experience of farewell-reaching out to be closer before he leaves us.

“ So long , farewell! I hate to see you go…” as that Sound of Music’s melody touches our hearts, I maybe teary eyed writing this reflection and yet may sing to him deep in my heart, GOOD BYE.

Indeed, we may have lost our beloved holy father and servant, here on earth, but the heavens are definitely opened to this very moment with the voice of our Heavenly Father: “Well done, good and faithful servant! Welcome to the joy of your Master’s Table. “

Be with me in this Octave of Easter, to remember in our prayers the death of His Holiness Pope Francis.

May we keep him and the entire Catholic Church in our prayers during this Easter Season.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

20250421: Fallecimiento del Papa Francisco el Lunes de Pascua

Mi querido pueblo de Dios.

Conocemos y estamos muy conscientes de la gozosa celebración del Domingo de Pascua en el Vaticano con el Santo Padre, el Papa Francisco, aunque también somos plenamente conscientes de la frágil salud de nuestro amado Pastor.

El fallecimiento de nuestro amado "Servo Servorum Dei" el Papa Francisco un Lunes de Pascua nos trae a cada uno de nosotros y a toda la cristiandad a la increíble realidad de una pérdida tan grande, incluso para los no católicos… "Soy un poco agnóstico, pero ya echo mucho de menos a "el Hombre".

Nadie sabe cuándo ni cómo partiremos de este mundo hacia nuestra morada celestial, pero qué hermoso recuerdo es, para el Papa Francisco y también para nosotros, tener una experiencia de despedida tan tranquila e íntima, acercándonos para estar más cerca antes de que nos deje.

“¡Hasta luego, adiós! Me da pena verte partir…” Mientras la melodía de La novicia rebelde nos conmueve, quizá se me salten las lágrimas al escribir esta reflexión, y sin embargo, puedo cantarle en lo más profundo de mi corazón: ¡ADIÓS!

Si bien es cierto que hemos perdido a nuestro amado y santo padre y siervo aquí en la tierra, los cielos se abren a este preciso instante con la voz de nuestro Padre Celestial: “¡Bien hecho, siervo bueno y fiel! Bienvenido a la alegría de la Mesa de tu Señor”.

Acompáñame en esta Octava de Pascua, para recordar en nuestras oraciones el fallecimiento de Su Santidad el Papa Francisco.

Que lo tengamos presente a él y a toda la Iglesia Católica en nuestras oraciones durante este Tiempo de Pascua.

Que su alma y las almas de todos los fieles difuntos descansen en paz.
