Whether you visit or live in Mammoth Lakes, you are blessed by a picturesque view of mountains that surround so many lakes for hiking, running, skiing, fishing, cycling, climbing, and more. In this magnificent paradise, you will find God through His creation and witness all His Glory. As Father Andy Dachauer often said,
“This is God’s Country!”
The Catholic Community of St. Joseph Parish invites you to join our daily and Sunday Mass Celebrations. Please see our Mass Schedule for St. Joseph Church in Mammoth Lakes, Our Savior of the Mountains Mission in Lee Vining, the Infant of Prague Mission in Bridgeport, and Our Lady of the Valley Chapel in Coleville.
As your other Parish away from home, we are here to nurture your spiritual experience in the mountains and to help keep your Faith alive in giving Glory to the Almighty for all His blessings.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky proclaims its builder’s craft.
Psalm 19:2
On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Monsignor Bill Leser blessed the site of the new Parish Hall, and construction began. On July 1, 2018, the construction was blessed by Bishop Myron Cotta of the Diocese of Stockton. Construction of the building was completed this week.
On Friday, February 8, a delicious dinner was offered for everyone who was involved in the construction of the new building. We began with the blessing and dedication of the building. Now we have a long-awaited Parish Hall for the use by our community.
On Sunday, March 3 (note new date), from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, there will be a food sale in the new Parish Hall to benefit Martha Galvan, who is recovering with success from a cancer treatment.
For photos of the progress and opening party, click on the picture. A more descriptive photo of the finished project will be posted once the Hall emerges from its current snow burial.
Online Giving is the most convenient way to donate to St. Joseph Parish. You can make a single donation or set up a recurring donation to the weekly offertories, second collections, and special projects. Click on the button above or go to the Online Giving Page for more information.
