A Religious Gift Shop
Gifts of Distinction with Religious and Nature motifs

Around the year 1992, St. Joseph's church converted its crying room to a unique gift shop named "The Den of Piety." There is no religious goods store anywhere nearby, and many people want to get a rosary, a medal, a prayer book etc. There are also a number of homeowners, primary and secondary, who wish to have something religious in their home. Our gift shop offers them a plethora of items not only suited for this purpose but also fitting the area in which they live.

Besides religious items, there are a number of items with a nature theme of one sort or another, items that again are hard to come by in the shops around town, and items that fit in perfectly with the mountain décor so prevalent in Mammoth Lakes. Also, and perhaps more important in our thinking, the inclusion of nature items changes the whole look of the store, making it more home friendly and not looking like the inside of a church.

Brother Daniel Corona, S.J., Assistant to the Pastor and my closest associate in almost everything in the parish, manages the store and is always on the lookout for quality items that can fit most people's budget. He will also order items that one may wish but cannot find. He has excellent taste and will go overboard in helping everyone.

The store hours are 9 AM to 5 PM every day and also by appointment. The store is especially patronized before and especially after every Mass. Visa and MasterCards are accepted as well as cash! The store is licensed by the town and has a resale license from the California Department of Equalization.
